Pacific Northwest Coast
The ecoregion of the Pacific Northwest Coast stretches from present-day Northern California thru Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, to Anchorage, Alaska. To the east, the alpine terrain of the Cascades, Coast, Chugach and other mountain ranges capture moisture in large glaciers and rivers, providing abundant water and life downriver. Defined by salmon-filled rivers flowing thru the largest remaining Coastal Temperate Rainforest in the world into the Northern Pacific Ocean, the Northwest Coast harbors a historic abundance, grandeur, and majesty like none other.
